AAAHH! NOO! I don`t think so!!! X-ray is just a higher frequency of visible light. It does NOT travel faster than light because it IS a form of light... Agreed it is more energetic, but that energy is not translated to momentum. It`s quanta is "fuller." The reason why it escapes is because the matter at the edge of the horizon is being excited into x-rays, they haven`t fallen yet, they just are about to. That sudden acceleration while crossing the "no-man`s land," causes particles to give off energy in the form of x-rays.
Some black holes do have more then enough gravitation pull for light....it could theoretically capture "greater than light" particles.
