You are thinking of a black hole as if it were a neutron star. Black holes are theoretically no longer a physical chunk of extremely dense matter. They have become a singularity- a convergence of space and time. At the exteme density of a neutron star, the matter is converted into mostly neutrons, hence the name Neutron Star. The fuel of stars are countless protons fusing together at the subatomic level creating radiation,light,heat, and many other things. |
