: According to special relativity, an object will measure light traveling at the velocity c with regardless of its relative state of motion. : If your traveling away from the earth at a speed close to c relative to the earth, both you and the earth will see light traveling away at c. : Special relativity states that the space time continuum breaks down in such away that space is measured shorter for the object traveling with the relative velocity than the earth. Also, the speed that time elapses for the object is slower than the speed of that time elapses for the earth, relative to the earth. The exact equations for the amount that these occur can be found as the Lorentz Transformations, if you're interetsed. : : By the way, I believe only in time, not motion.
