The answer to this question lies in one thing. Do you believe in eternity? Actually, it doesn't really matter in this eather, as nothing will ever enter a black hole after it has formed (don't stop reading, this is all true to calculation so far!). We may not know what happens as a particle passes the event horizon, but we can certainly tell what it's going to do before, and as the distortion of time is infinitely great right on the event, the amount of time that would have passed on the outside of the hole, would be infinite. If there is an infinity, then the particle would never even make it to the horizon, and even if there was infinity, the particle could only get an infinitieth of a centimetre from the hole.

Therefore, the question will never come into play, except for as the black hole is formed, and it might not come inside to play then either!
