Truth is I don't know what happens to energy within the horizon of a black hole. Suffice it to say that energy can not escape a black hole in the traditional sense. Items become further complicated by virtue of the fact that a black hole defies the traditional conservation of energy for particle/anti-particle behavior near the horizon.

Hopefully there is someone more knowledgeable on the topic who will post a response to you.
