: HYPERSPACE? Um.. really fast space.. yeah.. that's the tick : 4th dimension is time! : Why? Because it's another axis that we travel through : just as we travel through points, planes and space, we travel through time : besides.. define hyperspace, and why IT is the 4th dimension. Calling the fourth dimension "hyperspace" is just because we lack experience with thinking about a fourth spacial dimension. By the same logic, the fifth dimension would be "hyperhyperspace". Let's come up with a different word at least! Why not tesselation? But the fourth dimension doesn't have to be time. To say so suggests that a two dimensional world has no time--not without an intervening third dimension as a "closer" experience for 2d being than time--a suggesion which isn't necessarily true...one might conceive a 2d concept of time without a intervening 3rd dimension). It should be obvious to everyone that the 4th dimension is color. |
