: : : : Roger, you can't think of the question in those terms, because (1) The train could never go at the speed of light, and (2) As you approach the speed of light, your inertia approaches infinity, so it would take an infinite amount of energy to take that incremental step forward.

Well I think that even if we could achieve the speed. We would freeze. when you approch the speed of light time slows, if you could go faster you could (theoriticly) go back in time. However. once yu reachthe speed of light exactly. I believe that time would stop. You wouldn't be able to accelerate or decelerate. you would just be frozen. Not living, but not dead either.
