: Black holes are anything but finite. True, the Schwarzchild radius is definable, the singularity has been proven to be where most singularities hang out, but the gravity alone created by the collapse is enough to dismantle all light waves, visible, X-ray, or otherwise. In my opinion, there is no point at which a quark could hold a neutron star from inevitable collapse.
