: Black holes are phenomenal. They make up the matter of the universe. They bring about thousands of questions that only a few can be answered.... : Do we really know what happens inside a black hole?? No one will ever know, because it would be impossible to do such a thing. I don't know much about black holes, but would like to..... : I need research material for a report on the subject.....

: There isn't really an inside to a black hole, because it isn't really a hole, per se. It is a singularity of enormous, perhaps infinite density, and it creates a gravitational sink. The observable edge of the gravitational sink is the event horizon, and it is true we cannot see beyond this. Black holes certainly do not make up the matter of the Universe (thank goodness), but they may account for some of the dark matter. There are good models of black holes, some of which are referenced on these messages...good luck!
