i follow the assumption with regards to a macroscopic quantum coherent medium, namely a Bose-Einstein Condensate being a good candidate for a component of consciousness.
if i follow you correctly then your supposition is in short that the axions are part of an axionic superfluid that make up a cosmic axionic field that is actually a local and a cosmic BEC. the point as i see it being that this axionic superfluid being cosmic and local would naturally "waft" in and out of the heads (brains) of sentient beings.
the brain (it's structures, protiens or what have you) would then serve as an observer and collapse the BEC axion waves collecting the computated information into a physical process within the brain. hence consciousness.
i view a BEC as having computational potential that would be massively parallel. i see this as a good thing and as a potential problem, in that as i understand it a BEC behaves in mass as the component of which it is composed. this would mean that if you had only one BEC involved namely axions that the brain would have to serially collapse the axion waves repeatedly for output. i like the BEC concept as a component of consciousness as it seems likely it would protect the computation process from "outside" influences that could decohere the process. but again with just one type of BEC wouldn't you have just one qubit per collapse? this would seem good for stability but not so good for efficiency. the point being it would seem the more different type of BEC's the better off the process would be since then you would have more quibits that could work on a given computational problem.
or am i misunderstanding the nature of a BEC, ie could each individual axion of the BEC represent a qubit and still be part of a BEC?
