The totality of existence according to string/loop theory is set of distinct 26 dimensional universes. Baby universes immediately detach from the mother. Each universe has a boundary that separates it from all other universes, while creating new universes in massive black holes, as pictured in Briane Greene's book on string theory, "The Elegant Universe". I met him while he was a postdoc at Harvard. The 26 dimensions are needed (by whomever designed this trick) to fit the phase space of an entire universe into the rather small volume of a black hole singularity where the unified field exists. |
