Just try to take a simple DC voltmeter ,and measure AC current of frequency 0.5 hz.You will see varying voltage in a perdiod of 2 seconds.

Gravity is the weakest force of all.
Its waves had been detected indirectly in dual - star systems(as i know).Project Einstein@home is running.It will try to proove the existence of gravity waves directly.
