Gravity itself, a static force that as you say is most powerful, is very easily measured. You make the mistake of thinking that gravity comes in waves. Only an infinitisimal portion of it does, such as from a supernovae. But even in this case, the dominant effect is static gravity such as we expect from a black hole. Static gravity from all mass merge so usually that you cannot distinguish where it comes from, except for the earth's gravity.

But we can still see the effects of the moon's gravity, and even the sun's, in the oceans tides. You might characterize that as very low frequency waves. If so, then such waves are easily measured and the common experience of all shoreline creatures including humans.
