So The Universe Is A Black Hole

and we are inside it. So objects going towards the horizon slow down because of the central mass singularity. But since light also slows down, the combined effect is apparent acceleration; just the opposite of what happens outside the black hole, where we know that objects accelerate towards the central singularity whereas observers outside the black hole see the same objects slowing down.

This is of course pretty much what Hank just said, except I say that means the universe is a black hole.
