I contend that 'By faith, not of works(law)' is the false teaching of Paul.

It clearly is not the teaching of Jesus.

The early Christians were in dispute over the good works versus faith as a means to attain salvation.

Most of the Apostles believed that 'good works' were necessary along with belief.

But later Paul, since he could write in Greek, none of the Apostles could, carried the faith alone side of the dispute.

This dispute is well known in most Protestant Churches. It has been hidden in the socalled 'born again' churches. Apparently you are in one of those.

So good works is still alive and kicking in Christianity. It's only rejected in a small but growing part of Christianity that happens to be very influential in the White House right now. But not for long.
