Actually, Christ did not say that He did not come for the Gentiles in his discussion with the woman at the well. He said salvation is OF the Jews.

Jesus was born a Jew according the scriptures.
While we do not determine whether we are born a Jew or a Gentile, the King of the Jews, whom I serve, is the only living God.

Jesus sent the twelve to the Jews and He sent Paul to the Gentiles. Acts 26:17

While I was not born a Jew, I am a Jew in Spirit
as I am in Christ.
