Dark Matter And Energy

Your comment is valid. However, people working in this field are well aware of the problem. The dark matter (30%) proposal is made to account for the holding together of the galaxies, where there isn't enough ordinary matter to do it. The dark energy (60%) is proposed to account for recent observations that the universe expansion is faster now than it was in the past.

Until there is some more experimental information, these ideas are treated as working hypotheses, far from well established theory, such as quantum mechanics.
