It's The Higgs Particle Or Field

I do not understand the back up theory but supposedly it is the way that mass gets to be mass.

When the Higg paRTICLE OR REALLY ITS FIELD IS INTACT, NOTHING HAS MASS. Then when it undergoes symmetry breaking, fermions get mass. Sorry for the caps. a mistake.

It is hard for me to comprehend why mass could not exist in the early universe, perhaps to facillitate inflation. But that is the story and that is why it's called the God particle. as if God were all the mass in the universe.

Interesting that the closest physicists come to defining god is to call Higgs and its subsequent mass god.

They think they should have found it in the colliders by now but have not so far.

Of course, if the cosmology is cyclic, there is no need for a higgs particle or a big bang.
