I have a BVC 8" mirror, FULLY polished, as i had to start from a sphere a few times. sent to alumnizer at local college, no high discharge coating, cleaned by acid soap. The mirror came back with bronzy/greyish bloch over 60% of area in centre, images are ok, but definate haze in blotchy area. Next day, some micro bubbles started to form. Arghh.

Any suggestions what went wrong, two chips were expoyied back, could these outgass, although the chips were expoied on over 6 months ago, Could mirror absorb gas from the plastic wrap during shipping and out gas this.

Any experience in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
