Here's another idea I have done. Use flat black paint in the tube. Just before it dries, sprinkle oatmeal in the tube and let it dry. Once dry, paint again. The bumpy surface actually bounces stray light away. This idea came from a friend of mine who has been making scopes for years. Sounds weird, but it works....really.
