You're welcome. My normal method is to go out in the sunshine and look with a 5-10 power eyeloupe for frostyness on the surface. Don't reflect the sunlight off of the mirror as it is too strong a light for that but you will see colored/white spots on the mirror if it's not fully polished out. Look at both the center and the edges for sure before going on to the figuring stage. This is also the point where you should be looking at the shape with the Foucault Tester. |
