Might like to note to everyone that the retail price on a kit from ASM is $172.50 and is warranteed to be good. The other thing is that there is no pitch for the polishing lap with this kit and that's another $15 from ASM. I would also assume that the mirror is plate glass as there are no marks on the glass stating that it is pyrex nor is the apparent color right for pyrex. If you want to buy for about %10 less than ASM, then go for it but there's no guarantee that the grits haven't been mixed or anything else. From the grit sizes listed, the grits may be a combination of two different kits. I might also note that boron carbide is a strange material to use for an abrasive.
