Hi! I'm almost ready to start making my lap and was wondering a way to test to make sure that the pitch is the right hardness. Other than using a nickel and the weight of my hand. Because I'm only 13 and my hands arn't huge. also, I should just hot press the lap, then do a 1/3 center over center stroke till strong illumination can't be seen on the surface. Is this right, I'm just asking because I don't wan't to mess up my mirror. Thanks.
