About disassembly,

I have found that many optical instruments use inner threaded rings to hold the optical elements in place. Some use spanner wrenches or similar type tools to unscrew them. I have disassembled eyepieces using finction force with my thumb only, because grooves for a spanner wrench were non-existant. Also check for small set screws that might be used for locking. Keep investigating, you will figure it out!
