I have found a sono tube quick OK for a 12.5incher, only after its been f/glassed. A couple of layers of resin etc and presto! a very hard and durable tube. Rolled metal is cheaper but somehow my experiences tell me that for thermal qualities, cardboard is better- so long as you strengthen it. Regards, Jimmy B. : I am interested in a tube other than a sona tube for my 10" reflector. Maybe sheet metal or fiberglass. Is one better or have more advantages than the other? Where can I purchase them.?
