Shouldn't be any problems with this set-up as long as you take normal observing precautions. Be sure the scope isn't taken from a hot room to a cool yard and give it a few minutes to stablize. Another way to minimize tube currents is with a small fan at the bottom of the tube to draw air down through the tube. You will find with solar observing, heat from the ground and surrounding objects will cause most of your grief. I mhave found, observing in the morning seems to be the calmest time. I was surprised by how clam early morning air was even with the sun at a low altitude. Observing from grass also helps avoid ground heat.
