I'm studing the plan for a dobsonian scope. There is a point I don't understand. OK the primary mirror goes at the back end of the tube, where the tailgaite is. The spider with the secondary and the eyepiece go at the front end, at a distance wich comes, with this formula. Now my question is, the front end of the tube remains open? I mean, not any kind of mirror or filter to protect from dust coming into the scope? Thanks!
