: I'm going to build a square wood tube for my 6 inch reflector. What size should I make the inside dimension of the tube? Seems like I read something somewhere that talked about having space for air circulation. Traditionally its been 1 inch from the mirror with round tubes a square tube can go closer due to increased area at the corners...Bob.
