: : I am the mentor for a grade six thru twelve astronomy : : club sponsered by the Lapeer County Intermediate school : : district. We now have two mirrors ready to be coated, : : and I have no idea of where to send them or what this : : may entail. Can someone please give me any information : : on this topic. : : Thank You, : : Edward Conley : Dear Edward, : When I was surfing the net, I met the following adress; : http://atmpage.com/silver.html : Take a look at this site. It may help I hope. : A.Tahir Dengiz : Ankara - TURKEY I had my 6" re-coated some years ago by P.A. Clausing with BERAL overcoating instead of aluminum. I'll never use anything else again. The aluminum barely lasted 10 years, while the BERAL is now 15+ years old and it still looks just like the day I pulled it out of the crate. Also, you can clean it in your sink! Very tough material. I think P.A. Clausing has a website, but I don't know the URL. |
