Hi Anne, boy you gave us a challenge on that one! Due by THIS Thursday?!? Eeeek! With that constraint, I think what I'd do is find some binoculars, take the lenses out (they usually unscrew) and find some PVC pipe I could cut with a hacksaw and fit them into or onto. A little electrical tape and you're done. Might take some playing to get the optical length right, can't advise on that. Never even tried to build a refractor. Can't think of anything else to do that fast though... Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
