: By default Excel interprets numbers in radians when using trig functions such as sin, cos, tan in equations. I need to work directly in degrees-minutes-seconds. Can the default be changed, if so, how ? Is there a simple way to "work-around" the default radian setting ?

I can't speak for Excel, but Quatro Pro has many functions to change these units around. Look at your math @ functions. I'll bet you will find what you need there.

Spreadsheets are very handy these days.
