Hello, I want to get involved in astronomy and need some advice. Being new, should I by my first telescope or attempt to build one? Also, what kind of telescope would be a good starter? I do not have $400 or more dollars to spend. At the same time, I do not want to get something that can just see the moon as a white blur. (Am I asking for too much?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Jim

if you could send an e-mail to me it would help out. gargoyle2@home.com
