Please read the article in the February Sky & Telescope by Ron Tanguay about measurement using the Celestron Microguide eyepiece.

Another method which is somewhat simpler is the "Chronometric" or "Transit" method of measurement. It involves using a Position Angle Dial (easily built) as do all micrometers, and a simple stopwatch. A pocket calculator is used to do the simple math, or spreadsheets which are available.
