My trick for making a nice right angle is to take some paper and wrap it around the tube. A 8.5x11 does up to 10" around so for a big sonotube, you will want to get some wider paper to wrap around. Make sure that the paper is FLAT on the tube and the overlap is exact and you will be going around perfectly. Then take a pencil and mark around the tube right at the edge of the paper. Do a second pass pushing harder and then finally use a nice sharp knife (Xacto?) and work in by stages. Don't be afraid to cut a relief on the scrap side of the tube so you can go deeper. When you break through at one point you then make the cuts from the inside (or pulling from the outside) of the tube. The cut will be nice and smooth if you do a nice job. Good Luck Bob May
