A lot of variables will dictate the value of the mirror and I would never purchase the cell for the price University charges for it. Nor would I ever purchase an optic from Newport. I am curious as to why you would purchase a mirror and not a corrector blank if not a lense. Anyway a quality crown blank can be expensive a water white plate glass less so. What type of coating what quality of figure?

A lot of very high quality sphers in the six to eight inch range are on the market from salvaged spectrophotometers. I have a 20th wave 6 inch quartz that I paid $2 for.

You can send the info and asking price at therickcrockett@yahoo.com and I will tell you if I am interested or if any of our telescope making group is.

Best,
Rick
