White Mold/fungus On Lens

I have a problem with some sort of white growth on the lenses of several pieces of optics I have.
It seems to be between the different elements of the lens.
I'm not afraid to take the cels apart, I would like to know what is best to get rid of this stuff, and to keep it from coming back.

Anyone got any ideas?
