There are a large number of websites that describe making a telescope. Grinding mirrors and making the telescope mount are all shown and described in a lot of websites.
Look with Google for "mirror making" "Telescope making" and other such similar words (putting the words in parentheis makes Google look for the whole phrase rather than individual words) and you will come across my website (http://bobmay.astronomy.net amongst others that are on the web waiting for your perusal.
I'll note that the whole process isn't hard to do and the biggest problem that i've seen from those that do it is that they tend to overcomplicate the job of grinding the mirror and making the mount. Keep it simple and you will find that it is a nice mind relaxing job for the most part (figuring the mirror can be interesting to do) and will be a nice relaxation from the worrys of the day.
