Dear All,

I am new to Telescope making... so this may be an obviously dumb question... but hey...

The mirror grinding proces is one that takes quite some efford.... my question is... why is the grinding method used..?... Glas can be molded in virtually any form.... why does this not work... and if it does.... why is grinding preferred.... or is it just a matter of cost...?

Thanks...

Edo
