I want to build a extremelly large spin cast epoxy mirror.
What are your ideas ?
- What kind of a epoxy and hardener do I need to use ?
- How I can protect the curing mirror from mechanical distortions of curing epoxy ?
- Can a specific hardener save me from curing high heat of epoxy ?
- What will be the viscosity of the epoxy mix? Which is good ? Can I dilute epoxy with an solvent ?
- Do I need to pour all the epoxy in one time or how so ?
- If I need to cure the whole epoxy mirror step by step - with steps - how will I decide the curing amount of epoxy per step ?
- How will I protect the epoxy mix from bubbles , how will I make a vacuum room ?
- Do I need a clean room when curing ?
- Do I need a breadboard for vibration and resonance of the turning mirror ?
- What kind of a motor protect system from vibration ?
- How can I make the mirror turn on a air suspension ? How will I do this ?
- I dont want to use fibers in epoxy , do I need it ?
- What will be the focal lenght of the 2 meters diameter mirror , what will be the depth- thickness - of the epoxy ? 1 inch or more ?
- How will I know the turning speed of the mirror from focal lenght ?
- Can I do the same with acrylic ?
- How will I connect a ultrasonic vibrator to the system ?
