Refractor Focuser

Hi all.

I am in the process of building a small 4 1/2 dob using the Meade mirror set from Surplus Shed. I was wondering if I could use a Rack & Pinion focuser from a DST 60mm Refractor as my focuser on my Dob. Has anyone had any success with this?

Also, in Newtwin, when working out the focuser height, do I enter the height of the focuser when it is racked all the way in, or all the way out? I am a little confussed on this part, so I could use some assistance if you don't mind.
