I think that you won't be happy after removing the coating as it may be masking the poor color correction of the lenses in the binocs.
Better would be to get some binocs that don't have that coating on them. Besides, larger objective binocs will also allow for more light to be captured than what you presently have.
The intention of the coatings is to allow for a better focus as the light getting to your eyes will be more towards the yellow-green part of the spectrum where your eyes will focus better.
