I know this isn't supposed to be easy! I really do!

I made the 1 inch lap and went around the mirror several times making sure to keep the edge of the polisher in contact with the edge of the mirror. But I must have really done something wrong. After several trips of running around the edge my TUE is not a lip that I can easily see with the knife edge while inside focus. Yes, it appears to be smaller but it is very obvious. I tried tool on top short strokes hoping to push the curve out to the edge and simply sphereize it out. The curve is getting flatter but I'm not sure the edge is improving.

Bob, any other ideas or did I simply not use the small lap long enough?

Tom P.
