More Grinding Time With Each Stage

If you have pits, it means you didn't spend long enough with a larger grit size to erase the pits from an even larger grit size. There's no rushing it. I've been there, and had to go back up 3 grit sizes once upon a time. So you almost surely need to go up a couple of grit sizes and take your time.
