Home Made Foucault Tester

Yep, you can build a tester for a very small price. I occasionally sell the tester and stand for $45 shipped ready to run.
I use the Berry style of slitless tester but capture the carriage on the shaft instead of the V blocks.
A cheap dial indicator ($15 or so) makes the question of the location of the carriage easier than with the dial on the end of the allthread used to move the carriage.
