I've been thinking of trying his mount idea for the dob i'm putting together.

One thing that might concern me if using it for a OTA is possible 'outgassing' from the PVC? I've been experimenting with it some and sometimes i swear i get a 'clorox' smell when i'm carving or cutting on it... could just be my imagination? [i do know pvc containers aren't recommended for storing stuff like photos or negatives because of this potential 'outgassing' problem though i don't know if that would affect optics at all]
