: Thanks alot but I really wanted some information off the internet because we need 3 sources of information for our assignment......

To Terminator:

Hi, the book I mentioned is published by Willmann-Bell,Inc. and should be available from any decent book store or library in the U.S.A. Another excellent book on telescope making is:- 'Making your own Telescope' by Allyn Thompson and is published by Sky Publishing Corp. Cambridge,Mass. This is a good book for a first telescope - I think.

Another book for a keen enthusiast is 'How to Make a Telescope@ by Jean Texereau, Pub. by Willmann Bell.

I have been making telescopes all my life.Let me encourage you to build a 'scope for yourself. There are two sorts of human beings: The TELESCOPE MAKERS! - and then the other lot.

We have a very keen bunch of amateur astronomers and many good telescope builders here in England - even tho' the weather is rotten most of the time. Let me know if I can help further. Regards David.
