This sort of information is invaluable to me as a new-commer to the grinding of mirors.

I have spoken to some telescope makers in the local Astronomical Association but they have all made telescopes a long time ago and then decided to buy rather than grind their own mirrors.

They were concerned about stuffing up the blank but if i can use 15mm or even 10mm for a 150mm mirror, i can afford to ruin a few of these.

You stated that your mirror wound up a bit thinner after you had to regrind because of "modifications" ( Which i refer to my stuff-ups when justifying my hobbies to the wife.)

Do you just grind the mirror flat and start again or do you keep grinding with either the blank or mirror on top depending on too deep or shallow?
