Is 19mm Too Thin?

I have recieved a price of $230 for a 150mm x 25mm piece of glass but when you go down to 19mm x 150mm the price drops to only $115.

Is this too thin? What will happen if i make this mirror of this thichness?

I have never made a mirror but want to have a go at making everything for my first telescope but cannot afford to stuff up many mirror blanks at $230 each.

Can i use the thinner blank (19mm) if i support it in more places?

Any help appreciated.
