Bubbles In Lap

maybe it was not as bad as i thought... but i had a very nasty scratch appear well polishing, and figured to ignore it, but after another hour of polishing i ended up with six of them.....some cuss words were spoken, i was so ticked that i went all the way back to 120 and ground mirror out again before christmas,then took a break from it till just a few days ago....but i was not real happy with the first lap any way....this one seems to be much better and it is a full size lap this time too.....thanks for advise, i scraped, redid the grooves and am warm pressing now, with micr mesh in between, ....i did notice though, a few more bubbles appeared well warming the lap in water.... oh well, like you said, more places to hold the polishing compound. Thanks, i'll let you know how it goes this time.... I hope its good news i will have to report. clear skys all.
