Could you not eliminate the secondary and spider, then tilt the primary 5 to 10 degrees, moving the light cone outside of the tube to a focuser mounted at an angle to receive the light cone?

No obstruction.
No diffraction.

Take it easy on me, just asking.. I know it would work with a flat mirror (no magnifaction)but what would happen to the image off of a tilted parabolic mirror?
